Your wedding day is about you. I appreciate and understand the importance of not only looking, but feeling your most beautiful on the day with as little stress as possible.
A bridal trial is essential to ensure we create the best style to suit you. I would recommend that you have a trial 2 months prior to your wedding day. I do not advise that you have a trial any earlier than that purely because of changes to your skin tone (e.g. a tan) or a change of preference for the makeup look.
During the trial we will go through different styles, trends and looks to match both the theme of your wedding and your personality. If you already have some ideas for the look you want, feel free to bring any references to discuss. At your trial we will also discuss any allergies, sensitivities or skin conditions that you may have to ensure that we don’t use any products that might aggravate these.
Your trial will usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours and take place Monday to Friday, due to busy periods over the weekends. Please do bring any members of your bridal party with you for advice and trusted opinions! Please allow extra time for each additional person requiring a trial. Rest assured though, we will not rush through your trial – my goal is to ensure that you leave your trial 100% happy with your look.
Your trial will also provide an opportunity to go through the details of your wedding day, including timings, location and any other details specific to your big day.
On Your Wedding Day
On your big day, the most important thing is you! I want to help you look and feel the best version of yourself.
I want to help you relax and feel pampered whilst being transformed into a beautiful bride. To help with this, on your day you can look forward to a luxury cleanse, a high-end hydrating face mask and only the best quality tools and products.
Depending on your requirements, I may bring an assistant with me on the day.
Why should I book with you?
I am a fully qualified, professional makeup artist with proven international experience. I have had the pleasure of creating numerous bridal looks, as well as a plethora of fashion shoots. I pride myself on being a calm, patient and, above all, friendly person, here to help you feel confident on the most important day of your life.
As a congratulations on your wedding day, you will receive a special gift from me containing a pressed powder and lipstick to ensure your makeup stays perfect until you go to sleep!
How long will the trial last?
The trial usually lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours to create the bridal look. Please allow extra time for each additional member of the bridal party having a trial.
How much do you charge?
The total cost of my services depends on the number of people having their makeup done, both at the trial and on your wedding day. After an initial consultation, I will be able to provide a specific quote. As I work internationally (and therefore in different currencies) I am unable to provide details of costs here.
What products do you use?
I only use the best quality equipment and products. Most of my kit consists of high-end brands, such as MAC, NARS, Chanel, YSL, Dior, Giorgio Armani and Huda Beauty. For skincare products, I use Kiehl’s, Bioderma, Avene, Weleda, Estee Lauder and L’Oreal.
Do I pay for your travel?
I do ask you to pay for travel from my home to the venue (whether that be London or Madrid). This will usually be on public transport. Please contact me for a specific quote.
If I’m not happy at the trial, do I have to book you for my wedding?
No. It is important that you are completely confident in the makeup artist you work with. You will only be required to pay for the trial and any accompanying travel charges.
How long should I allow for my makeup on my wedding day?
We can discuss this in full at your trial, but I would recommend 1.5 hours for the bride and 45mins-1 hour for each additional member of the bridal party.
I have very sensitive/blemished/problem skin and/or allergies, can you help me look beautiful?
Yes! Do not worry, I have a full range of skincare products in my kit which are catered to different skin types. During your trial, we will check for negative reactions to any products to ensure that your skin looks as radiant, healthy an hydrated as possible on your big day.
How do I book your services?
Once we have agreed the date of your trial, full payment for the trial will be required 7 workings days prior to the trial itself. If the trial is cancelled/postponed for any reason, a partial or full refund will be given on a discretionary basis.
For the wedding day itself, full payment for my services will be required 7 working days in advance of the wedding date.
What happens if you’re ill on my wedding day?
In the very unlikely event that I am unable to make your wedding day due to illness, I know a number of fellow makeup artists based in London and Madrid who would be able to step in. Rest assured, this situation has never occurred before!
Would you advise that I have a facial prior to my wedding day?
A facial treatment can always help to give your skin that extra glow on your big day. If you have never had a facial, I would strongly recommend that you have a treatment in the months leading up to your wedding day to check that you do not suffer any allergies or negative effects from the treatment. If you do decide to have a facial, I would recommend that you have it at least 1 week prior to your wedding day.
